The Festival will be directed and organized by the Friends of the House of Sciences Association, a non-profit cultural association that is open to individuals, institutions, companies and organizations interested in the advancement of science. As mentioned in Point 2 of the Association statutes, its objective is “to encourage all forms of scientific advancement, outreach and education by organizing activities for the Association members and the general public” and “to promote science culture in the Spanish society, so that people can learn, understand, apply and enjoy science”. For this, Point 3.8 of the statutes suggests, among other activities, “to have contests and awards ceremonies to promote better science outreach and educational programs”.
